Virginia is beautiful and unique.
For instance, we are NOT a state, we are a Commonwealth, and we aren’t afraid to remind you.
Every student in Virginia has taken a field trip to Williamsburg, usually in 4th grade. That same year we learned to dance the Virginia Reel.
Virginians love to be outside, at our beautiful beaches or hiking our gorgeous mountains or exploring our many small towns.
We love our personalized plates, both to own them and to figure out what other plates say, such as this one,

It’s not enough to say you are from Virginia, you have to be more specific, Tidewater, Richmond, the Valley, Southside, or NOVA.
No summer is complete without a trip to Kings Dominion.
We love hard shelled crabs and raw oysters and we know how to open both.
Our road trips are usually about booze, visiting wineries and breweries all over the state. Or we can hike and visit wineries.
When UVA plays VA Tech the Saturday after Thanksgiving, you choose a side even if you didn’t go to either school.
We have used air conditioning and heat in the same day. We can also experience two seasons in the same day.
Cornhole is one of our favorite games indoors and outdoors.
