Today Republican Jim Myles won the Firehouse Primary in the 11th Congressional District to take on Democrat Congressman Gerry Connolly in November.
From Jim’s webpage:
I am a retired Federal Judge with over 35 years of public service with a focus on Social Security and Medicare benefits. I also had the opportunity to serve for a year as a Fellow with the Republican staff on the House Ways and Means Committee, Subcommittee on Social Security, and was awarded a Certificate in Legislative Studies by the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University. In an earlier life, I was a United States Air Force Pilot with over 2100 flight and instructor hours, designated a Master Instructor in the T-37 jet trainer. I will bring that breadth of experience to my efforts to represent the 11th District in Washington.
