First, and very important, never try to travel on any road ending with the number 95 on the weekend. Just don’t do it. You will regret it. During the week is pretty bad too. I-81 isn’t much better but it does seem to have many more massive trucks. Good thing Governor McDonnell passed that huge tax increase to fund the metro. It sure hasn’t helped build any more of the roads we desperately need.
Never attempt to shop at Tysons Corner during the Christmas season. You’ll spend hours getting into Tysons or the Galleria and more hours looking for a parking space.
We all know politics is a blood sport in Virginia so tread carefully when you mention it, anywhere.
Don’t even think about going to a grocery store if ANY snow has been forecasted.
Never forget the First Thanksgiving was here, in Virginia, at the Berkeley Plantation on the James River, between Williamsburg and Richmond.
Do not mispronounce the names of Virginia towns and counties. Here is a list with the correct pronunciations.
