A lot of us are breathing a sigh of relief. It looks like the Electoral College vote will go as expected with a minor glitch or two, and Donald Trump’s name will be forwarded to the Congress for certification as the next President of the United States of America. However, ——The Democrats still have more cards to play. Let’s look at the Calendar of upcoming events and where shenanigans can take place.
By December 28, the State Certificates of the Electoral Votes must be in the hands of the President of the Senate (Vice President Joe Biden) and the Archivist. However, the States are not penalized for failing to comply. If Electoral votes are lost or delayed, the Archivist is empowered to act to obtain duplicate originals. Exactly how he or she would do that if a State fails to cooperate is an interesting question. More interesting, what if Biden simply refuses to convene the Senate or the Senate Democrats refuse to vote? What happens to the national Certification totals for the Presidency and Vice Presidency?
On January 6, Congress meets in a joint session to count the electoral votes. Joe Biden presides over the count and announces the result if he is present. He would also declare who has been elected President and Vice President. Who takes over if he is missing or unwilling to perform this function? Would the Senate Majority leader be empowered to act?
In addition to what should be a relatively straightforward count and certification process, it is possible for a State or States to submit conflicting sets of electoral votes. If this happens the House and Senate are empowered to accept or reject the electoral votes. If they do not concur, then the votes of the electors certified by the Governor of the State on the Certificate of Ascertainment would be counted. Supposedly, this was done by December 13.
To complicate matters further, if an objection to the Electoral College vote is made, it must be submitted in writing and be signed by at least one member of the House and one member of the Senate. If objections are presented, the House and Senate withdraw to their respective chambers to consider the objections under procedures set out in federal law. This is, of course, further opportunity to muddy the presidential election situation and the inauguration.
On the 20th of January, Donald J Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States of America. However, the radical left has already promised disruptions and chaos to hinder the inauguration. Hopefully, the DC police, volunteer law enforcement from around the nation, and the National Guard will be in place to keep the peace.
There is no question that the election of an American populist has upset the totalitarian plans of the globalists. They are angry and are striking out in every imaginable, and even some unimaginable, ways to undo the will of the American people. The next 30 days will see more of their insanity and calumny.

[…] Beyond the electoral college […]
What can the left do? They’ll protest Trump’s inauguration. Who cares?
Unfortunately, I am expecting the Democrats to object on January 6th, just like they did after Bush won in 2004.
Here’s a little something you can suck on, “Doctor:”
The counties that voted for Hillary Clinton contribute FAR MORE to the national economy than do the counties won by Trump.
https://www.brookings.edu/blog/the-avenue/2016/11/29/another-clinton-trump-divide-high-output-america-vs-low-output-america/
The less-than-500 counties that Hillary Clinton carried nationwide encompassed a massive 64 percent of America’s economic activity as measured by total output in 2015. By contrast, the more-than-2,600 counties that Donald Trump won generated just 36 percent of the country’s output—just a little more than one-third of the nation’s economic activity.
Talk about makers and takers . . .
What does your comment have to do with this post?
Nothing. He is just stewing in his own resentful juices.
Somewhere, in the deep recesses of his body, lies a small spark of hope. Unfortunately, it is buried so deep that he is little more than the Obamas who, once again, hate America. The reason his post is so off the mark is that he knows that Warren’s article is a true representation of the spite of the Democrat Party.
Wow old_redneck, tell us something we don’t know – that the Democratic party is comprised of the most disconnected, richest parts of the country working to control the the peons with their rhetoric and influence isn’t news, we already knew that.
To your point though, how long would you survive if we just divided the country in half by the way they voted and we each half keep our own “output”. You can enjoy all the banking, insurance, and phone apps you like, and the counties that voted for Trump will keep all the cows, corn, lumber, steel, and .. you now, everything you need to survive for themselves.
You typify the arrogance that lost Democrats this election.
Those counties he maligns, put food on his table. Not too long ago, Henrico sided with the good guys, too. But ever since 2008, it’s become increasingly blue.
What happened to Henrico Hokie? It was all red when I lived there. I am holding you responsible…
Rent “An American Carol” this Christmas season.
Just a question… looking at their graphic, DC is a big GDP producer. DC? What do they produce there except bullshit.
Since you are off topic… a lot of your posts you blather on about your guns and second amendment rights.. do you not find it stupid to support a party that is going to take those away? What Democrap doesn’t want to have European style gun control?
First they will take our guns away then they will take the guns away from the police. Can you imagine the police without weapons it would be like England ; hault or I’ll yell hault, although some need to be beat with a club.
Say no to those who want to close Gun Show loophole laws buy all Firearms at gun shows with individual tables so that no one will ever know what you have. I lost all of mine when my canoe tipped over in the New River I don’t have any. Remember the Boston Marathon bomber hiding out in the backyard of someone’s boat he could have easily came through the front door of that family’s home. Irony here Attorney General Herring politically shot himself in the foot , what we need in office Nov 2017 is a South West Virginia Appalachian American Republican not a northern Virginia or city boy lawyer Republican
