Scott Taylor and Barbara Comstock are, unsurprisingly, the stragglers
Confirming what a lot of Virginia conservatives already know, Rep. Dave Brat and Rep. Tom Garrett are proving to be conservative superstars in DC. Both of these popular legislators have scored 100% on Conservative Review’s latest Liberty Scorecard, an annual grading of members of Congress.
The rankings are based on Conservative Review’s stance on important votes in Congress over the past six years. Members with fewer than six years in Washington are graded only on the amount of time they’ve been there.
Brat’s and Garrett’s 100% score is well ahead of Rep. Morgan Griffith’s third place score of 71%. The otherwise solid conservative Rep. Rob Wittman comes in fifth, with a 61% score.
Unsurprisingly, Reps. Scott Taylor and Barbara Comstock bring up the rear, with Taylor scoring a mere 50% and Comstock scoring just 19% (squarely in Bobby Scott and Gerry Connolly territory).
