In less than 2 hours after General Assembly special session ordered by Governor Northam to pass more gun control bills, the Assembly has adjourned. Speaker of the House Kirk Cox said there will be no gun laws passed prior to the elections in November.
The vote to adjourn was 20 to 18 in the Senate and in the House of Delegates it was 50-46.
They intend to reconvene on November 18th.
