Aliscia Andrews, a candidate for Congress in the 10th district, failed to register to be a delegate to the 10th district convention. The convention, currently scheduled for May 30th, will nominate a candidate to represent the district in the November election against Democrat incumbent Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton. Andrews lives in Aldie, Loudoun county. She did not submit an application to be a Loudoun delegate by the March 1st deadline.
Loudoun County submitted 869 convention delegate forms but those forms have not been verified so the number will decline.
Andrews has not yet publically addressed the issue as to why she did not apply to be a delegate to the convention that will choose whether or not she becomes the 10th District Republican candidate for Congress.
