From the Texas Public Policy Foundation:Â
Not much difference between the two plans. Â Members of the House Freedom Caucus are meeting with President Trump on Tuesday because they want a more conservative health care plan to replace Obamacare. Â We hope they are successful.

Congratulations TBE informative presentatrion and lets the individual draw their own conclusions.
Based on my past experiences, essentially Obamacare is going to end. When leadership gets going like it is in all three branches of government, they are going to ram something through regardless. I’d say Obamacare is on the way out at this point. The GOP plan may just be a smokescreen, and in the end we going back to the double digit annual increases before Obamacare. I wouldn’t bet on Obamacare surviving.
But, people ain’t going to get the golden goose either. That would be competition in the highly regulated health industry. I asked a congressman’s office this morning where the “buying insurance across state lines” is located in the GOP plan. I also asked the office, who wrote the GOP plan. As of now, I still have not received an answer to either question. But, I am supposed to get an answer from them.
Perhaps Jeanine or Steve can get the answer from their Representives?
Good job Jeanine! I know that had to take a lot of time and patience. I appreciate your dedication and it gives me a lot to think about.
Get ready the pitchforks, folks. It’s time we patriots march on D.C. and put the fear of We The People into such wussy traitors as Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, etc. We demand FULL REPEAL.
I’m tired of needing to March on D.C. to get them to do their job.
The path to the politicians is through their party officials — lean on your precinct, district and state electeds and party officials.
Lean on those currently running for office.
You can always catch our Congresswoman on an apology tour at a local mosque or ‘interfaith’ church.
For bonus points you may contact their supporters and donors and hold THEM responsible
Not without putting competition in the health industry. That has been the Republican promise from the beginning, to drive down prices.
The GOP and liberals are one in the same…this repeal and replace is the same thing as the redistribution of wealth subsidy scheme…huge disappointment, glad I have been independent for years…
Then it’s YOUR fault — you are making it too easy for them to nest in the wainscoting of the body politic.
Pick a party, get involved, and take your country back… Why not?
Because they are just different shades of the color?
Yes, left to their own devices, weasels will settle into a stasis that lines their own pockets. They must be watched, challenged, and reminded of their obligation constantly.
Is that like being neutral, un-involved, and uncommitted?
So, basically the Republicans have lied and only conducted “show” votes to repeal Obamacare all these years. Republicans now have the House, Senate, and Presidency and all of a sudden they’ve got to take their time and do this thing right? So what was wrong with the last bill vetoed by Obama? Why isn’t it on Trump’s desk? Could it be that it was only a phony piece of legislation to intended placate the masses and never really meant to be passed?
Apparently so, let’s ask them about this.
Nobody, as of today, has yet been able to show where there is just one line in the GOP plan that will put competition in the healthcare/health insurance/drug industry. Just one single word? Nope. Isn’t that what Trump and Republicans have been running on for years? Competition will drive down prices?
This year, the Republican led Virginia General Assembly, refused to let Virginians purchase heath insurance across state lines by refusing to pass HB2233. Tommy Norment once again refused to say no to the checkbook carrying lobbyists who run wild in Richmond every January and February.
We will never get affordable healthcare as long as lobbyists run government. Not allowing competition in the healthcare industry makes the new GOPhealthcare bill unacceptable. Besides, the bill is nothing but a lie.
Essentially, the GOPe leadership and the entirety of the Democrat Party have fallen into the global socialist welfare for all trap. This is what I feared and why Trump was elected as a last resort. I hope he can negotiate his way out of this but I am beginning to doubt it.
We do not need a Constitution or rule of law if government tyranny is going to control the people. Might just as well have any efficient dictator make the decisions as was done in ancient times like the 20th century.
