Candidate for Senate and Prince William County Chairman, Corey Stewart, has called for the resignation of RPV chairman John Whitbeck. At a news conference in Washington DC Stewart said:
Obviously, the Republican party put forth a candidate who was frankly an establishment candidate who had no message, who refused to embrace the President of the United States, who ridiculed the supporters of the President of the United States and just was unable to inspire voters, including the republican base to the polls.
While the leadership at the Republican Party deserve our gratitude for their service, it’s time for John Whitbeck and the leadership of the Republican Party of Virginia to move on. Today the rebuilding begins.
