Earlier today we reported on the firing of the Trump’s campaign Virginia chairman, Corey Stewart. On Monday Stewart helped lead a protest outside the Republican National Committee protesting their treatment of Donald Trump.
Trump campaign deputy manager Dave Bossie said Stewart was fired because he “staged a stunt in front of the RNC without the knowledge or the approval of the Trump campaign.”
Stewart told the Daily Caller he was aware of the possible consequences for his participation in the RNC rally but Bossie didn’t ask him to shut it down until just before it was to begin.
“When I helped organize this [anti-RNC demonstration], I knew there was a chance I would be fired, but this message has to get out there.”
The message Trump wanted to convey was the RNC must support Trump or they could lose across the board in many of their races. From the Daily Caller,
“This is the end of the RNC. If they don’t support the Republican nominee for president, they will permanently fracture the RNC leadership from the grassroots who nominated Mr. Trump,” Stewart declared on the possibility of an RNC withdrawal from the Trump campaign. He added in response to GOP leaders, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan and Arizona Senator John McCain, abandoning Trump, “The Republican establishment, as epitomized by the RNC, has betrayed Mr. Trump and in doing so have betrayed the grassroots.”
One thing that has angered Stewart about the RNC is what he sees as their diversion of resources from the Trump campaign, particularly from his home state of Virginia.
“Unless the RNC is called out for their failure to support the Trump campaign we’re going to lose. The RNC has pulled its resources from a must-win state for the Trump campaign in Virginia. But it’s a state that doesn’t have any significant down-ticket races, and that’s why they’ve diverted resources out of Virginia,”
Stewart said the RNC had promised funding to Virginia and then pulled their money at the last minute. Stewart intends to continue help Trump to win in Virginia as he continues his run for Governor.
On his Facebook page Stewart said
In case you missed it. I will continue to support Mr. Trump. We need him to turn our country in the right direction.

Jordan Labiosa can say what he wants to, but who does he work for?
I’d rather get it from the horse’s mouth … straight and direct!
So Corey Stewart endorses Cynthia Dunbar for National Committeewoman. Then rails against the RNC for being establishment. Transitive property Cynthia Dunbar is establishment; she has a seat/say at the RNC. She’s endorsed Stewart for Governor… ipso facto Corey Stewart is the establishment’s favorite.
?? Maybe Corey had a good reason for wanting Texas to have 3 committeemen!
Maybe Stewart and Billy Bush can get together, have a few drinks, and commiserate. At least Stewart still has a real job. I would assume Campaign Manager was a volunteer position (??) and was going to end in less than a month anyway, although it doesn’t look good to have it end prematurely.
This is a good move for Trump and a good move for Corey.
President Trump will appreciate the support of Governor Stewart come re-election time.
What a mess!
If we should take one clear message, it’s this: Trump is following the influence money the RNC brings. And if he is elected, he will continue to follow the money, especially when the holders of his $500M start talking. Trump is no rebel, he’s corporation 2.0. Old incentive structure in a reality TV wrapper, with a side order of sexual assault.
He can say the RNC is opposing Trump, but the Trump campaign clearly disagreed. Corey is damaging the working relationship of the volunteers with our victory operation, and took 60 people off of the streets who could have been knocking doors or making phone calls. He damaged the Trump campaign, and all for a little name ID going into next year. Sad.
Corey’s political instincts are razor sharp. I don’t think he was leading the charge but rather surfing the Tsunami.
This is Corey going rouge and rogue.
He looks like a raving loon.
That’s Governor Raving Loon to you!
Corey goes off reservation to fight for our Nominee — you go off reservation to oppose him. #I’mWithCorey
Corey already has all the data from the Victory campaign so he doesnt care about being fired.
Corey probably gave all the data to the victory campaign.
How did Corey take those people off the streets? They worked for him?
He used his power and authority as a Trump campaign staffer to email thousands of supporters and encourage them to spend a clear sky, 70-degree day protesting our own HQ instead of knocking doors — Against the wishes of the campaign.
And then threw bolts of lightning at any who dared to dissent!
You do know those ladies right?
I’d rather face any offensive line in the league by myself then try to get between that crew and their target.
If the RNC didn’t get the message about RINO Control, that’s on them.
Corey got the message and now HIS shackles are off as well.
This protest idea did not start with Stewart. It was organized by Va Women for Trump, and Stewart was asked to join as the Chairman of Trump’s campaign. It was just a small FB group.
Jordan — who is your employer? Still working for anyone in particular in Washington?
I always say, ” Work for the Elite, Bleat like the Elite.”
You can quote me on that anytime you like!
Hi pseudonym,
I work for Congressman Goodlatte, and I make phone calls for hours each day for Donald Trump. Not to mention my financial investment as Chairman of the Craig County Republican Committee.
I can’t quote a person with no name.
Yes, you can! How about Anonymous, the most quoted of all time. And besides, you know me well as I do you.
Running with the elites is probably the worst decision you ever made in your young life. The best decision was probably the decision not to be inducted into the Masonic Order, but that was rather undone by the Goodlatte decision.
Craig County Republican Committee? Financial Investment? Is that anything like Secretary of State Hillary and Pay for Play?
I know some Masons… Dave.
The Security State knows everything!
😉
Cute Jordan! 🙂
Huh? “Running with the elites” every day on the phone banks? Or by taking a chunk of a modest campaign employee salary and plowing that back into his local GOP committee? What does “running with the elites” even mean here?!?! Jordan Labiosa is as fine a grassroots leader as anyone will find, through and through.
My reaction exactly! Huh? And you are welcomed to your viewpoint? And by the way, what is your particular piece of meat in this game?
Stewart says this could be the end of the republican party like that’s a bad thing . . . it’s not.

A new party may be just what we need!
A Phoenix from the ashes! (Apologies to Arizona)
Setting yourself on fire does not make you the Phoenix.
Not to worry: I didn’t set myself on fire. I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary. This whole mess is because of those who did.
It’s your party and you can cry if you want to.
Many party conservatives administered political seppuku this cycle, same is true for party establishment, what’s left is Conservative Trump grassroots that do not think kindly of those that work against.
The whole mess is because of the Republican elite who utterly failed to control Obama’s imperial and anti-constitutional executive. Trump or Cruz were the only obvious choices to right the wrongs. Trump won.
Half of whom were blue-collar union Dems. Thanks again, open primary supporters.
That would be the author.
Live by the primary, die by the Primary. Think of Trump as a National Brat!
You’ve got that right. We’re in this mess because of the Trump cult.
Trump IS the new bigger and better!
GOP establishment freaked out about end of gravy train, conservative establishment (both of them) freaked out about profane micro-aggressions.
Libertarians grovelling for federal funds, “principled” leaders telling people to squander their votes, and the dem machine pushes on toward the win.
We’re going to have fun storming the castle!
Trump will be quickly forgotten.
Just like in the primary?
I don’t know if the Trumpsters will let us forget him. I’m afraid they’re going to stay angry for years to come.
We prefer to be called Deplorables.
Grand Old Basket
Who is going to vote for your party Jeanine?
Yep, and we’re all out of Bubble Gum.
Uh….no. Of all the possible future outcomes, a bigger better party is by far the least likely. The root of our problems is the refusal of various party factions to cooperate on the objective of winning elections. We have factions of religious conservatives, versus establishment globalist politicians, each of whom are very willing to lose an election rather than cooperate. We also have a third very large faction of nearly apolitical Americans that just want to restore good government and do sensible things with the budget and national security while preserving individual freedoms. They do want to win but they are outnumbered.
Contrast this with the Democrats who also have two large factions plus a great number of apolitical voters. They will absolutely unite between any old scoundrel that can win an election, because they put their public policy objectives as absolute top priority. They’ll elect a corrupt politician in a heartbeat if that is who can win (e.g. Morrissey, Clinton, etc).
The vehemence of the Nevers is pretty intense, whether they be globalist statists, or religious/conservatives, but their refusal to cooperate and win an election makes them unlikely to be useful in any new party, They will not only refuse to cooperate, but actively promote Democrat opposition and talking points, if that is what it takes to stop an unsatisfactory party leader from winning. We don’t have serious political factions on the right that are dedicated to winning elections. Moving those factions around to some other new party is irrelevant. The only hope for the American right is for a magic new candidate that somehow appears to be both conservative and nonthreatening to globalist/statists at the same time, and cannot be easily demonized by Democrats. Good luck waiting for Godot.
One cannot be a global socialist and American populists at the same time. Nor can any candidate be non threatening and immune to demonization. Jesus never involved himself in politics, and for good reason. Nevertheless he was a political liability and paid the ultimate price.
I agree completely.
We need an American populist party. The Democrats aren’t it and far too many republican leaders aren’t it. Change is coming and there is a real question about who will be part of the new party.
Bush, Romney and a lot of other RINOs are being exposed. The Democrats are losing their middle working class. The realignment is there for those who wish to see.
We probably have to form a new party every few decades or so.
Gotta stay one step ahead of the Iron Rule of Oligarchy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_law_of_oligarchy
You are living a sad, pitiful delusion. If Trump loses after these party events (like him or not) the Republican Party shatters. Bigger and better? A small, ineffective organization will remain that will shed off it’s elected officials over several election cycles leaving a top heavy political caeerist elite but a severly diminished base that will finally just wither away.
There is no rebrith after these events and actions just exrinction. Rebranding the same set of characters with a new name just read a little on the fate of the Whigs for that possibility. Virginia conservatives tying themselves to that ship is even more illogical then enabling a Clinton victory so “down the road” some Cruz or Cruz like candidate will mirculuralisy appear on the political scene. There is NO second act here over 94 million American males are OUT of the work force, far worst then in the Great Depression and being masked by borrowed interest free cash from the Central Bank and articicullay mannipunlated economic reporting spun out by a compliant left wing media.
You have lost your sense of judgement and reason all over a guy you find vulgar. You believe this won’t impact you and your family you are wrong unless you are in the 2% income bracket in this country you will be impacted and as for your children their futures will make the millennials of today, unemployed and with little economic hope ahead of them, look like a positive outcome. As an old man that will not bear the brunt of this possible outcome or live in the decades of it’s tradegy that you are calling down on all of us I can’t even illect anger I just feel a deep and total sorrow for the individuals like yourself that are so blind to the outcomes they can’t see or won’t accept the future they are enabling.
And, of Trump wins, we’ll have two liberal parties
If Trump wins, the GOP sloughs off the faux conservative dead skin and reconnects with the electorate.
We already have two liberal parties. The old Democrats of the sixties and seventies included many vocal patriots, defense hawks, and fiscal conservatives. Not any more. Both parties have moved to the left. Today’s Republicans with complete control of the House have not restrained spending at all. There are no fiscal conservatives. A large chunk of the current Republican party is now cooperating with Democrats to get Hillary Clinton elected. Fairly remarkable shift to the left.
Damn Lawrence… your posts keep getting better and well scarier. Your elegant passages express what I feel, but I am truthfully an excrement thrower. As I have expressed to many of these idiots and I am bloody right… the death knell is the importation of masses of third worlders to this country which has no jobs for them, has a strained entitlement system that is funded on debt, and then you are importing the future warriors in the 4th generation war that the world is engaged in.. jihadists from the middle east, gang bangers from Central America, drug gangs from all over the world… thrown into your own socially disentegrating country– see Black Lives Matter and their pattern of cyclical riots.
Good luck to the little snow flake millenials who are triggered by Trump speaking about grabbing some #$%y. This damn country is going to be a violent dumpster fire all around them.
No, it’s just the end of Corey Stewart. The Republican Party will be better and stronger for having stomped out his Trumpster Fire.
I see a lot of Combustible but no fireman
And then what if the Republican Party disappears tomorrow then what happens?
Think beyond the rhetoric
We become “Back in the USSA” (apologies to the Beatles)
Realignment of both parties. Watch Europe – Brexit has already made things interesting and Merkel is on the ropes.
Our party is realigning before our very eyes thanks to Donald Trump, hopefully it’s not too late.
I agree, Donald Trump has certainly been a focal point for realignment already. I had hoped there would be at least a few Democrats that were willing to join the anti-establishment movement, but I haven’t seen much evidence of it so far. If Trump can’t win, I don’t see much hope for the Republican party. The base has been betrayed repeatedly by our elected officials, mostly by failing to act. But now the betrayal has moved into active opposition of the candidate chosen by Republican voters. This doesn’t end well if Trump loses. Not for any flavor of Republican.
