Following the United Kingdom vote to leave the European Union, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced he will step down from his post by October.
“The British people have made a very clear decision to take a different path,” Cameron said Friday outside his residence Number 10 Downing Street in London. “As such, I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction.
“I will do everything I can as prime minister to steady the ship over the coming weeks and months, but I do not think it would be right for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to its next destination… In my view, we should to have a new prime minister in place the start of the Conservative Party conference in October.”
It is likely that the leader of the ‘Leave’ movement, Boris Johnson will become the next Prime Minister. He is the former Mayor of London and member of Parliament.
Obama had threaten to put the UK ‘at the bottom’ in any European negotiations if the people voted to leave the European Union. Of course it was none of his business anyway, but he had to issue this little threat to the people. Obama doesn’t like it when the grassroots, the people, rise up against establishment.
When pressed to comment about yesterday’s vote he said all the right things, siding with the people:
“Basically, they took back their country. That’s a great thing.
“I think we’re doing very well in the United States also, and it is essentially the same thing that is happening in the United States.
“Basically, they took back their country. That’s a great thing.
“They took their country back just like we are going to take America back! No games!”
Trump sides with the people of the United Kingdom while our President threatens them.
