All four of the candidates at the “Kids Table” debate need to drop out.
Paul has the right idea, being at the kids table does you no good.
Paul is the only one I’m actually excited to vote for. He needs to stay – I want to vote for an actual fiscal conservative for once.
Paul could be the conservative standard bearer once the ineligibles shake out — I can see Christie as the most viable establishment guy pre-convention — Cage Match in Cleveland, Paul vs. Christie!!!
Now THAT would be a debate! Paul would deliver an epic liberty beat-down to Christie and send the establishment into a tail-spin. It would be GLORIOUS.
I don’t count anybody out except for the ineligibles. Trump has seen to it that anything can happen in Cleveland!
Problem is, Paul has tried to deliver that beat-down in debates before, and with Chris Christie to boot. It has’t worked because he’s seemed more bitter and enraged than liberty-minded and charismatic. He needs to learn to smile as he kills somebody.
Paul’s delivery was terrible in the first debate, that is true. But the last two debates he did really, really well. He was much more confident and drew a stark contrast between himself and the other candidates – especially regarding foreign policy.
Does Paul play the game well? No. Is he a smooth-talking, silver tongued politician? God no. And that’s why I like him so much. 🙂
Put him up against Christie for an in-depth, extended discussion of the issues and Paul’s Constitutional acumen would wither Christie’s over-the-top bluster. Christie’s good for the sucker punch, the cheap shot – I will give him that. He and Trump are masters in that regard…
I keep waiting for Bush to vanish back into the woodwork, that day can’t come soon enough. Ditto for Kasich.
Hey, that’s our post convention establishment ticket you’re talking about… Bush/Kasich Fever.. Catch it!
I’m pretty sure that fever would kill me. Probably kill the party too.
Oh most certainly, if it’s an establishment or ineligible, it’s game over for the GOP (aka the New Whig party.)
Good thing nobody ineligible is running, at least, according to the legal scholars.
As for the Establishment, I’m hoping Bush and Kasich are the last gasp of a dying breed of wimps.
Hope the legal scholars nominate the right guy at their convention.
I’m getting awfully tired of legal scholars telling me what marriage is, what life is, what liberty is, and what happiness I may pursue.
Perhaps things will be better once we get Sharia going.
Ignore the establishment at your own peril, they are holding all the cards, only hope is that someone will Trump them.
