Democrats Foolishly Driving Conservatives to the Polls in NOVA

written by Paul A. Prados October 30, 2015

Democrats Foolishly Driving Conservatives to the Polls in NOVA. Every once in a while campaigns make weird spending decisions.  Such is the case in Northern Virginia today.  The campaigns of Jennifer Boysko (D) and Kathleen Murphy (D) bought repeated advertising time on WMAL in the NOVA media market.

WMAL is the DC region’s place for conservative news, talk, and analysis with nationally known hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, and locally awesome host Chris Plante.

The ads tout things like defending women’s rights, a euphemism known to nearly all WMAL listeners as promoting abortion.

Boysko’s ad even mentions her opponent Danny Vargas by name (a no-no in low turnout low name id elections), and says that Vargas is running to promote his extremist agenda.  I’m pretty sure most WMAL listeners support an “extremist agenda”  even if Vargas doesn’t actually have an extremist agenda.  So WMAL listeners and casual followers of state and local politics here is your cheat sheet.

Jennifer Boysko is a liberal: Instead vote for Danny Vargas so he can implement his “extremist agenda.”

Kathleen Murphy is a liberal: Instead vote for extremely reasonable Craig Parisot.

FYI to Boysko and Murphy: Vargas and Parisot are not required to report your ad buys as in-kind contributions…

Paul A. Prados

Having fallen prey to the allure of DC politics in college, Paul escaped only to make the similar judgment error of going to law school. Trained at the side of a sitting state Senator, Paul is now the owner of a law firm in Reston, Virginia. In previous years Paul built a base of support on Twitter @ppradoslaw and founded and wrote for a blog on Virginia politics and legal procedure northernvirginialawyer.blogspot.com. As a pro-life libertarian, Paul finds himself at home within the broader conservative movement, and believes in a big tent Republican Party. In May 2016 Paul was elected as Chairman of the 11th Congressional District Republican Committee. Paul resides in western Fairfax County with his wife and children.
