Voting in Western Loudoun is “very, very, heavy” according to poll workers. At my poll, 25% of registered voters had voted by 11:30. Very good news for Republicans. UPDATE, at my polling place, 33% at 2:00 pm. Impressive for an off-off-year election.
One precinct in Richmond ran out of some district ballots by 8:00 am but that seems to have been more of the problem of not ordering enough rather than a huge turnout. More on this story and turnouts in Richmond here.
A source at Virginia Beach says turnout there and in Norfolk is light. And it’s raining, which is generally helpful to Republicans.
