The Family Foundation has rated all Virginia Delegates and Senators based on their pro-family voting records. I am proud to say my delegate, Dave LaRock (R-33) and my Senator Dick Black (R-13) have 100% records of voting to support families in the Commonwealth.

Hard to believe that Bob Marshall only got a score of 89. How could that be?
This rating should not just come from pro-life voting.
I would like to see these Republicans step up and be concerned about wages and lost jobs.
The next few weeks will be a test for some who represent the fine working class families that are employeed at the Radford Arsenal as they will start layoffs.
They can take the easy way out and blame defense spending or will they discuss bringing in new companies to operate it.

Generally, I like The Family Foundation. Two of the criteria they used
for rating the folks in the General Assembly were poorly chosen,
however.

Regional Charter Schools (HB 2342/SB 1283) Granted authority to local
governments to join to form regional charter schools: The problem is
that the bill authorizes the Board of Education to form the charter
school. The Virginia Constitution requires control by local school
boards.
–Regulatory
Reform (HJ 545) Would place on the ballot a constitutional amendment
granting the General Assembly the ability to suspend or nullify new
regulations (Pending 2018 approval): This would create a separation of
powers issue. This proposed constitutional amendment would allow a legislative committee or legislative committees acting
jointly or a legislative commission to suspend any or all portions of any
administrative rule or regulation while the General Assembly is not in a
regular session.
Not surprisingly, some Conservatives voted against these proposals.
