Four anti-gun bills head to the full Virginia Senate

written by Jeanine Martin January 13, 2020

Today 4 anti-gun bills made it out of committee and the full Senate will vote on them. From the Washington Post:

The bills now headed for the full Senate would require background checks on all firearms purchases, allow law enforcement to temporarily remove guns from individuals deemed a risk to themselves or others (Red Flag Law), let localities ban weapons from certain events and government buildings, and cap handgun purchases at one per month.

On Friday the General Assembly imposed a ban on handguns in the Capitol. From now on everyone can expect a long wait to get into the building. More from the Post:

Lines stretched for blocks as visitors waited to pass through metal detectors at the front doors of the building. Legislative staffers, who until Monday had been exempt from screening, were directed to another blocks-long line at a rear entrance.

Make no mistake, our gun rights are under assault and the Democrats in Richmond are wasting no time passing laws to limit our access to our guns. The Red Flag of Tyranny is upon us! Please attend VCDL Lobby Day on Monday, January 20th. Details for the event are here.
