Freedom convoy under attack

The situation in Canada and at the Canada/American border continues to escalate.  The truckers have been joined by the farmers, the tow truck operators and just ordinary citizens by the thousands.

Not unexpectedly, the Canadian leadership under Trudeau is beside itself with frustration and rage.  The RCMP has been called in to do something but the freedom demonstrations are peaceful and orderly.  (Of course, there are exceptions but even the lackey media has been forced to concoct stories that are ludicrous.  There are also indications that anti-protest pro-Trudeau plants are trying to embarrass the freedom convoy.)

Recently, the situation took another turn.  The Canadian authorities have gone to Gofundme to shutdown the funding to the freedom convoy.  Gofundme complied under the supposition  that the truckers were violating harassment laws and committing violent acts (although nobody knows who is creating and inciting violence and there is less crime in Ottawa than normal.)  

The  $10 million dollars donated via Gofundme to support the freedom convoy cause is being diverted to charities. Donors can request their money back but must do so by February 19 – and then Gofundme will return said funds 7 to 10 days later.  Strange isn’t it that a donation via Gofundme shows up virtually immediately on my credit card.  (Word to the wise, Gofundme is not a friend to conservatives or Republicans.)

There are, of course, other mechanisms for donating.  Givesendgo is one major example.  I went to Givesendgo to check out the freedom convoy situation.  I couldn’t open the donation page.  Apparently, there is a suspicious host error that prevents access to the entire Givesendgo website.  (I am trying to figure out if there is another way to support the freedom convoy.   It appears that the organizations controlling the internet, including the big social media sites, are actively blocking support for and trying to starve out the freedom convoy.)

Oh, one final note at this point.  The FBI and elements of the American law enforcement community are working with the RCMP.  They are targeting the leadership of the freedom convoy.  This is suspiciously like what is happening to the January 6^th protestors who are still languishing without benefit of trial in the DC prison system.

Obviously, this is coming to a head.  Some Canadian leaders simply want to roll back the mandates as they are unpopular.  Unfortunately, Trudeau is now so dug in that his choice is either to resign or use the military.  (Trudeau’s problem is that if you incarcerate the truckers, no goods will be moved to the shops and stores.  This is the supply chain problem multiplied.  The entire country would grind to a halt.)
