This lighted walk through Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna looks wonderful and the Bull Run Festival of Lights is always a favorite. For families on the Maryland side of the River this event at Glen Echo sounds like fun. For those of you who are not going to the Republican Advance, the National Christmas tree on the ellipse will be lit on December 6th, at 5:00 pm. If you haven’t been to the annual Pageant of Peace, you really should take the family to see it in December. More on the history of the National Christmas tree here. Some pictures of the Pageant of Peace here. More on the ceremony for lighting the National Christmas Tree, and other Christmas tree lightings around the area, can be found here.
