Republican Party Chairman John Whitbeck’s hard work to grow the party financially is paying off. In a letter today from Pete Snyder we learned that Jeb Bush has donated $10,000 to the party and Curtis Colgate has matched Pete Snyder’s challenge, bring it to total of $200,000.[read_more] Â From Pete’s letter,
HUGE News #1:  I’d like to thank Governor Jeb Bush for his very generous $10,000 contribution to the RPV today. The Governor knows that all paths to The White House run through Virginia and he believes that we need a strong and united RPV to get the job done. We do too, and we are incredibly grateful for his support.
HUGE News #2: I couldn’t be happier to announce that 2nd District Chairman and Virginia Beach-based entrepreneur, Curtis Colgate has stepped up and agreed tomatch my match for our Grassroots Challenge – that’s right we have a DOUBLE MATCH happening and what started as a $100,000 Challenge last week is now up to $200,000!!
Please consider a donation of any amount so the party can receive the full matching amount of the generous contributions by Pete Snyder and Curtis Colgate.  Donate here.  Let’s prove to the big money consultants that the grass roots of Virginia can do it!Â

You can’t beat Pete Snyder’s generosity for anything.
I’m not reassured.
I love that most of the Russ Moulton “new establishment” in the RPV would say that Jeb Bush is not a “true conservative,” but heck, they will still take his money! I wonder if Eric Herr will use this donation as a reason to start the third party or if he will use it as an excuse to reverse course and support Bush if nominated.
If the “new establishment” were really the true conservatives they say they are, the RPV would not accept the Bush gift, right?
I love that Bearing Drift published a piece saying Republicans should not give money to RVP … then Jeb Bush gives money to RVP.
Oops.
