Republican candidate for Attorney General John Adams has agreed to numerous debates with his opponent Attorney General Mark Herring. However, Herring has refused all debates after the first one in June. On Monday John Adams campaigns reminded Herring that 4 years ago Herring agreed to a debate sponsored by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce. (Herring’s home is in Loudoun.) Concerning the Loudoun debate, Adams said,
“This debate is in his own backyard. One has to wonder why he still hasn’t given the Loudoun Chamber an answer,”
Later on Monday Herring’s campaign manager, Adam Zuckerman, announced that Herring would accept the Loudoun Chamber’s request for a debate. Finally. Zuckerman also said this second debate would be Herrings last debate in this campaign.
