Judge denies Reeves request to depose Vogel

In Stafford County on Friday retired Judge Charles E. Poston of Norfolk denied Senator Bryce Reeve’s request to depose Senator Vogel, her husband, and others about email accusations that Reeves was having an affair.  Reeves wanted to depose six people so he could ascertain who he would be bringing suit against. More on the story here and here.  After the hearing Senator Reeves issued the following statement:

“I take it seriously when someone tries to attack and destroy my country, or my constituents, or my family. That’s why I became an Army Ranger, that’s why I became a police officer and that’s why I ran for public office.

“We have been in pursuit of the truth since September when these false allegations attempting to destroy my family first began to surface.

“There are a number of questions that remain unanswered: Why was Alex Vogel’s cell phone used to register this Gmail account? Why was Jill Vogel’s Internet network used to access the email account? And why is Jill Vogel refusing to answer these questions? The voters of Virginia deserve to know the answers and we’re calling on Jill Vogel to answer them truthfully, which she is unwilling to do.

“In order to get to the truth, we will be pursuing a lawsuit against the Vogels and others involved in this filthy enterprise.”

On Tuesday Senators Reeves and Vogel will face each other in a primary for the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor.  Delegate Glen Davis is also in the race.

I do not think the outcome of the lawsuit really matters that much at this point, but it does raise questions in the court of public opinion.

Who here really thinks the Vogels were hacked and this was the only thing compromised of their personal data? Note: I am not voting for Reeves for other reasons, but I wonder what Jill threw at Alex for this stupid stunt that almost ruined her campaign.

Bryce is upset and dismissive that a accomplished,experience, and well organized female state legislator is beating him to a pulp in this election. The whole email issue is nothing more than political theater on the part of the Reeves campaign.

Bryce is so nauseating with his rah rah speech. There are plenty of military veterans and law enforcement folks who have become so turned off by him and our voting for Jill. A elected official who is always quoting bible verses usually means he is innoculating himself from something unflattering coming down the pike!

Stop the whining Bryce and go about the business of selling insurance!

So, he should just ignore the libelous, false accusations that were traceable to the Vogel’s internet server and phone? What course of action do you think would have been appropriate?

If you’ve ever been around Vogel, you see an aloof, disengaged politician. She seems entitled and uninterested. She tolerates having to go through the motions running for Lt. Gov., like this race is hers to lose. I will vote for her if she’s the nominee, but I won’t be happy about it. Ethics attorney? Someone sent those emails about Reeves and she’s lying.

Did you ask her if she had ever worked a day in her life? Gillespie and Vogel just about cover everything that is wrong with government at both the state and federal level. Both are nothing but Republican Party hacks. Stewart is the Republican to vote for.

The only Democrat that I see who is not a Democrat Party hack is probably Northham. He has to play the goofy Dem persona to get the goofball Democrat freeks to vote for him. But, he is a veteran. Is Ed a vet? Vogel?

Platt is a Democrat Party hack. She covers everything that is wrong with this country for the Democrats. To me, she even resembles Hillary.

One thing for sure, Vogel and Ed are exactly the opposite of everything they say and do. They both also carry the stink of Bush 43′. Ed Gillespie will raise taxes just as Bob McDonnell did. They all had to fabricate BS on Stewart, as he is not in their establishment club.

It would be hilarious to watch Vogel and Platt debate about using the bathroom. Northham can attack Ed Gillespie for wearing the Bush 43′ stink and getting rich as a lobbyist.

Corey Stewart for the Republicans. Ralph Northham for the Dems. Veteran Bryce Reeves for Lt. Governor. The rest are just establishment hacks, just do a write in.
