Several voters filed a lawsuit in Virginia against Kanye West’s name appearing on the ballot for President claiming signatures on his petitions were fraudulent. Richmond Circuit Court Judge Joi Taylor agreed.

In her ruling Thursday, Richmond Circuit Court Judge Joi Taylor said most of the elector oaths third-party candidates are required to get to be on the ballot were obtained fraudulently, rendering West’s candidate paperwork invalid.
Taylor agreed with two Suffolk voters, Matthan Wilson and Bryan Wright, who said in the lawsuit that 11 of the 13 notarized elector signatures — required in addition to the 5,000 voter signatures — shouldn’t be counted because they weren’t obtained or notarized properly. Six of the 13 electors listed an address in Hampton Roads.
