Loudoun Chamber of Commerce applauds General Assembly for removing funding for roads in Loudoun

written by Greg Stone March 18, 2018

Just when I thought there was no one with less upstairs than the original 5 elected members of the board of Supervisors who enlisted Loudoun Taxpayers into the ‘throw your money down a rat hole club’, along comes the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. Not only was the Chamber a chief Cheerleader for the Silver Line to LOCO, they now believe it’s a good idea to rob money from actual Transportation projects such as roads, and instead throw that money down the WMATA rat hole. Despite the entire current board of supervisors being against the transportation bill that diverts Loudoun road money to fill the massive METRO deficit, the Chamber of Commerce here in Loudoun decided the vested interests associated with the financial disaster commonly know as METRO were more important than the taxpayers of Loudoun. These guys love capitalism, commerce, and free enterprise as long as they get to use your money.

With all due respect to the few folks I know associated with Loudoun’s Chamber, you need your heads examined!

Maybe fewer Wine and Cheese Socials and a few more remedial economics courses for chamber leadership might be in order.
