Maryland’s very popular Republican Governor Larry Hogan has been outspoken in his resistance to Donald Trump as the party’s nominee. (Maryland Republican voters chose Trump in their primary by 54.4%.) Hogan was a big supporter of his close friend Governor Chris Christie for President. Today Hogan made it clear to the Washington Post that he will not be voting for Trump,
“No, I don’t plan to,” Hogan said when asked whether he would cast a ballot for Trump. “I guess when I get behind the curtain I’ll have to figure it out. Maybe write someone in. I’m not sure.”
Governor Hogan will not be attending the Republican National Convention next month but he stopped short of saying Trump is unfit to be President. He said he is
“not pleased with the candidates in either party. . . . I don’t think either party has put up its best candidate.”
I think most of the country agree with the Governor.
