Marcus B. Simon, democrat delegate from the 53rd district, Fairfax and Falls Church, has introduced a bill to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $15.15.  Does anyone think this has ANY chance in the General Assembly?  Apparently he wanted to exceed Governor Martin O’Malley’s proposal of $10.10 for Maryland’s minimum wage.

Wow, son of a “Nader’s Raiders” who went to journalism school. What were the chances?
I wonder what he pays entry-level staff at his law firm?
$15.15 – I can hardly imagine the countless hours of analytical toil and economic modeling that went into coming up with that figure. I’m personally more supportive of $10.04 but then I was always a big fan of Detective Sergeant Joe Friday and the Dragnet TV show and after all both numbers share something in common they are based in fiction.
