Over the last month the National Zoo had a naming contest for their panda cub. Â A total of 123,000 people voted in the contest and today the results were announced, on the 100th day of the cub’s life, as is the Chinese tradition. Â A month ago my choice was the name Bao Bao because of its meaning, ‘precious’ or ‘treasure’. Â I am happy to say my choice won! Â The name is pronounce ‘Bough BOUGH’. Â More here.Â
