It’s looking bleak for Donald Trump in Virginia, according to the latest CBS/YouGov poll but things are looking up for Trump in Arizona and Nevada.
Polling results in Virginia show Clinton up 12%, with 49% of the vote to Trumps 37%, Johnson at 7%, someone else at 2% and undecided at 5%. (I am assuming this means Jill Stein is not on the ballot in Virginia.) When Trump voters were asked if there was any chance they would change their minds and vote for Hillary, 84% said they would never vote for Hillary. When the same question was asked of Hillary voters, 83% of them said they would never vote for Trump. Terrorism and health care were the most important issues to Virginians, 74% and 70% respectively. Only 28% of Virginians said Hillary’s choice of Kaine made them more likely to support the ticket. Only 33% of voters believe Hillary tells the truth and Trump’s numbers were only slightly better at 39%. All of the Virginia results here.
In the average of polls in Virginia Clinton is up by 6.8.
Trump faired much better in Nevada where he is down by only 2%, with Hillary at 43%, Trump at 41%, Johnson at 4% and Stein at 3%, someone else at 2% and undecided at 6%. All of the poll results for Nevada here.
In Arizona Trump was on top, polling at 44% to Hillary’s 42%, with Johnson 5%, Stein 2%, someone else 2% and undecided at 5%. All of the Arizona results here.
