Prince William GOP passes Medicaid Resolution

written by Jeanine Martin February 27, 2018

On Monday evening Prince William County Republican committee passed the following resolution on Medicaid expansion:

The Prince William County Republican Committee hereby commends and thanks

Senator Black, Senator Stuart and Delegate Hugo for their opposition to the

various proposals to expand Medicaid. Their votes in opposition to the

proposed Medicaid expansion are critical to keeping Republican promises to

undo Obamacare, not expand it.

Their votes are in keeping with Republican promises to the people of

Virginia, good financial stewardship, and are consistent with the following

elements of the Virginia Republican Creed:

“That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human

needs and economic justice

… That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at

all levels of government,”

We urge them to continue to vote against Medicaid expansion, including

voting against any budget that includes such expansion.

And that this resolution be delivered to Senator Black, Senator Stuart and

Delegate Hugo, as well as the local members of the RPV State Central

Committee by the Chairman as soon as possible.
