Rep. Barbara Comstock Again Endorsed by US Chamber of Commerce

written by Jeanine Martin August 20, 2016

At a business meet and greet on Friday at Breaux Vineyard Congresswoman Barbara Comstock announced that she has been endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce:

“As I said two years ago, keeping the American Dream alive and creating a healthy economy was my top priority as a state legislator and has continued to be at the top of my priorities in Congress,” said Congresswoman Comstock. “Over the past two years, I have worked extensively with our business leaders in every sector throughout the 10th District as well as our vibrant local chambers of commerce, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Over the past two years we worked to improve our economy by: passing $600 billion in tax relief to families, entrepreneurs, and businesses; negotiating and working on a 5 year transportation bill that provides more resources for our region without raising taxes; passing important trade legislation to grow our economy and jobs and increase U.S. competitiveness; and stopping the devastating defense sequester cuts that were threatening our national security as well as crushing our local economy.”

“Congresswoman Comstock has been a champion for businesses both large and small throughout Virginia’s 10th Congressional District for years,” said Paul Breaux, Jr. President and CEO of Breaux Vineyards and a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. “She understands that fair and balanced trade creates jobs for the many businesses right here in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. Congresswoman Comstock is committed to healthy business legislation that will put our community on a course to continue to thrive.”

“While LuAnn Bennett is swirling her way through Napa Valley with her close ally and friend Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Comstock is in Virginia wine country with Chamber members supporting local small businesses,” said Rob Engstrom, senior vice president and national political director of the U.S. Chamber. “The Chamber of Commerce of the United States is proud to endorse Barbara Comstock because she understands the issues that are impacting job creation and growth. She’s a proven leader who gets things done for the district. While Bennett and Pelosi are raising a glass in California, and finding ways to raise your taxes, Barbara is working hard to ensure that Virginia small businesses have a local voice in Congress.”
