Yesterday the head of the National Republican Committee, Reince Priebus, said Republicans would provide funds to keep the WWII Memorial open for a month during the federal government shutdown so that the Honor Flights for WWII veterans can continue with their visits to their memorial. The money will hire 5 security people. Mr. Priebus hopes to hire furloughed government employees.
We hope the Democrat National Committee will also provide funds to keep the Memorials open for our Vets. More on the story here and here.
