The Virginia Tea Party Patriots Federation met Saturday for their quarterly summit in Richmond, VA. The day was filled with some interesting speakers, especially members relaying how they were successful in such endeavors as defeating light rail, stopping a tax-payer funded baseball stadium, and engineering a “No” vote on a meals tax referendum.
In order to get a sense of the attendee’s support of the top-of-the-ticket candidates, a straw poll was conducted and the results are interesting. Note that this is a snap shot and the poll was informal and unscientific and the results do not constitute an endorsement of any candidate by the state-wide tea party federation.

Seems legit
We’re talking about a 40 body universe right?
In 2013 might have meant something but honestly in 2017 not so much.
Corey is joining with Dems to use taxpayer money for a new stadium. https://sheriffofnottinghampwc.blogspot.com/2017/02/why-would-pwc-bocs-approve-multi.html
Interesting gossip, but that’s all.
Sounds like the kind of thing someone would say during an election …
Very pleased to see the numbers in favor of Riggleman and Reeves.
I will take Adams over Herring we are together on that.
Let’s make sure that we all maintain civility, so that we can coalesce behind our eventual candidates. This election is critical.
Being totally serious, how is THIS election critical ?
The LAST election was critical. That was the one that elected the current governor which was going to get Clinton elected President.
What is electing another establishment Republican going to do to help anything ? Anyone who could support TARP can probably support another Virginia Conservative Transportation Bill like we got the last time we elected an establishment person.
I’m about this (holds fingers up without any space between them) excited about the upcoming election.
I’ll go even one step more, I basically don’t care at this point who wins the next election.
Well that certainly relieves you of any civic responsibility. You can sit in the wagon while the rest of us push it.
No I still have the responsibility, I just lost the motivation. Of course I’ll still have to vote for someone, but I don’t have to do anything more.
You say that, but you are active and posting on a political blog.
Perhaps you just care too much!
Every election is critical, moreso than the last. Just look at the consequences of the last few elections.
Nope.

And this is why we lose. We have to be prepared to back wholeheartedly the guy we hate if he wins.
Otherwise we have no party and we should get used to losing.
I was mostly joking.
And that’s not why we lose. We lose because Northern VA is transforming the state into Maryland. State-wide races are becoming a lost cause for Republicans. Its simply a numbers game, they have more.
And giving the nomination to some generic lobbyist does nothing to help that cause.
Hmm.
By get used to losing, do you mean having the state legislature, white house, u.s. house and senate, supreme court, governors mansions, etc, because that’s where the divisiveness of the TEA party has gotten us in the past 8 years.
Debate is good, and so is voting for who you want.
Voting to avoid losing, not so much.
So you’re happy with the government behavior over the past 8 years? You think we’re better now than we were 8 years ago?
Look at your own elected, are you happy? Do you call our leadership winning?
President Trump is a reprieve that most Republicans don’t deserve or appreciate.
The nomination process is where you choose the most qualified, the most conservative, and the most electable.
After the nomination, it’s about dragging the body through the doorway.
If it’s not Corey, we must all be Frank about our prospects.
Corey Stewart’s poll numbers will go up after Gillespie supporter and blogger James Cohen made some actionable, false allegations against Corey he posted on his own Facebook page.
Let’s see if TBE dos the right thing by not allowing such a disgraceful blogger to post in their site.
Time will tell since Steve Albertson is a supporter of Gillespie.
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”
Is there a retraction and apology from James Cohen in the works,
“When did Corey stop beating his wife”? Or will he say that he said that to promote Gillespie, for the good of the cause, retaliation, votes?
Casting aspersions about Corey Stewart. does not sound like Pastor Steepek would approve. Hypocrisy, much!
And Steve will be Corey’s biggest cheerleader when Corey is the nominee.
