The road to socialized medicine can have several beginnings. One of them is Obama Care, which raised premiums on working families so much that there are now calls for complete government intervention into our health care through the false promises of “Medicare for All”. Another one is the concept of a medical database where your medical records are collected by the federal government for anyone to see– aka the All Payer Claims Database. This would give to Washington DC bureaucrats and politicians access to all sorts of personal data, things that we keep private for a number of reasons.
This database, which is a pet project for Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, would give to the far left one of the things they have been wanting for years. Quite frankly there is no good reason to pass this bill. I can however come up with multiple reasons to not wanting this horrible idea to ever see the light of day. Among them are:
- Having this database would be part of the single payer scheme. The “Medicare for All” cannot survive without this data base. So why would anyone in the GOP want to give to the far left one tool they need?
- It would be too tempting a target for hackers. Quite frankly, do you trust the federal government with your personal information? Heck they couldn’t even keep Epstein alive when he was in special custody and there were legitimate fears he might commit suicide.
- Do you want members of the deep state and politicians looking at your medical records? Would you trust Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, AOC, Ilhan Omar, with your medical records?
- How would the government use your private information? The feds often intend to do one thing, but end up doing something else completely different. The NSA warrantless wiretapping scandal showed that the government set out to listen in on suspected terrorist calls, but ended up listening to conversations had by law abiding citizens. The Party of Lincoln and Reagan and Trump should not support the exposure of your personal health care information for purposes that are unclear and without limit.
This bill has not come up yet, but it is clear that Lamar Alexander, in true RINO fashion, is a champion of this bill. A version of this bill is currently in effect in most of the NE USA, you know, the same area that supported Hilary Clinton, sent Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren to the US Senate, and AOC to Congress.
Contact your elected representative and Senator now, and tell them to say no to the All Payer Database.
