Senate Candidate Shak Hill Supports Illegal Immigration—"Let them in"!

written by Jeanine Martin August 23, 2013

At a Center Right meeting on July 25 at McGuireWoods’ Richmond office  a discussion on the current Congressional immigration bill was lead by  Michael Thompson Sr.   Two speakers supported the immigration bill.   Two Republican candidates for Senate spoke, Howie Lind and Shak Hill, both from Fairfax county.   About 20 people were in attendance and participated in the discussion.

Howie Lind stated that we must first secure our borders and fix our broken visa system.  Once those things have been accomplished we can began a discussion of what to do with the current 11 million illegal immigrants in our country.  Shak Hill had a very different view.  His view, “let them in,” referring to the illegals crossing our southern border, a rather surprising statement for a Republican candidate for Senate.
