On Thursday night, on a platform of liberty, Shak Hill announced his run for the Republican nomination in the 10th district in 2018. He made his announcement at the Loudoun County Republican Committee meeting. Hill is solid, a pro life, conservative, living in Fairfax County. Hill is the first Republican to announce a challenge to Rep. Comstock. He has filed the necessary paper work to register his candidacy:

Can’t we PLEASE do better than Comstock or Shak Hill? Shak thinks much too highly of himself, and even spent a lunch telling me how much “he” suffered through a pregnancy rather than abort. Might have been impressive if his wife hadn’t sat there in stone-cold silence, clearly upset with him. He never even noticed. No thanks, Shak. I’m not buying what you’re selling.

I met you several years ago when Shak ran previously. I shared a table with you and Shak at a banquet, and spent several hours in your company. I had met Shak at campaign events both before and after that banquet, but that was the only occasion that I was able to speak personally with you.
I had a great deal of sympathy for what you went through to avoid an abortion. Although I’m sure you meet too many people to remember me personally (especially as I use only a nickname here), I enjoyed your company immensely.
I shared with you my own experience with having been advised to abort a pregnancy due to a confluence of several severe complications. I also chose to risk my own life in order to live up to my pro-life beliefs, and have never regretted my decision for a moment.
If I (and others at the table) misinterpreted your reaction as Shak related your story, I do apologize. I will accept your word that your reaction was due to some factor other than Shak’s words. As a result, I will respectfully refrain from characterizing your reaction in the future.
However, I am very sorry to tell you that I cannot support Shak’s bid for any elected office for a variety of reasons in addition to this one. I will not list them here, as nothing is to be gained by that.

Is he going to propose legislation that will eliminate income taxes? Which liberties should we expect him to fight for should we elect him?

Yes, he lost against Ed Gillespie in his run for Senate. I don’t recall him having run for anything else. Perhaps you could share those other runs for office with us.
Shak would be an excellent choice for Congress. You can trust him in both his words and deeds versus Comstock whom I have found to be untrustworthy as an elected official. Comstock is definitely one person that needs to be voted out of Congress. She is definitely a RINO. Thanks, Shak for offering your candidacy and a choice for a responsible person in elective office.
