Suit by partisans from both sides takes aim at Virginia Senate and House Districts

A THIRD REDISTRICTING LAWSUIT IN VIRGINIA.  The fun never stops.  In addition to the Democrat-driven suits challenging Congressional and House of Delegates lines, we now have a group of plaintiffs comprising representatives from across the political spectrum (you’ll notice former Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling’s name as an advisory board member of the group behind the suit).  Their complaint targets 11 specific General Assembly districts, charging that their boundaries violate the Virginia Constitution’s requirement that districts be “compact.”  Looking at that map, they may have a point.
