The Republican Party of Virginia’s 11th Congressional District Convention is today. There are several solid conservative candidates worthy of your support.
For Chair of the 11th, please support Paul Prados. Unlike the incumbent, he will be a reliably conservative steward of the 11th, and will never support a secret ballot or desert conservatives on State Central at key moments. He also brings a wealth of political and applicable legal experience to the table. Paul Prados is just what we need in this job.
For State Central Committee in the 11th, please support Fredy Burgos. Fredy has been in the trenches with conservatives, taking on a difficult fight against the Democrats for House of Delegates, and has been a consistent advocate within the party for conservative principles, and has put in a lot of work at the grassroots level. He’s absolutely committed to seeing that Republicans decide who Republican nominees will be, and won’t bend or compromise when facing political pressure from moderate establishment Republicans, and will stand against the VCN/McGuire-Woods/Creative Direct mafia on State Central.
Electing these two gentlemen will bring the fresh perspective that the 11th so desperately needs.
For Delegate, please support Bill Petrak and Ryan Thomas. They are the two reliable conservatives in the race, and will represent conservatives in the 11th admirably, which given how this convention likely to go, is more crucial than ever.

I am unfortunately not familiar with Mr. Burgos but having had for some time the opportunity to read and reflect on Mr. Prados’ authored blog articles and his many cogent associated comments and ideas, it is crystal clear to me, the one major characteristic that can be used to summarize him is his even handed fairness in approaching people, issues and problems. He is without doubt an intelligent, knowledgeable constitutionalist but that to me comes in a distance second today, in our contentious political world, compared to having the increasingly rare skill of patience and the willingness to listen to others opinions and ideas. Too often in the political arena we underestimate the power of listening.
One of the most sincere forms of respect to the voter is actually listening to what they have to say. Paul has this core personality trait and it will make him a great elected official for the people of the 11th district. He is what the founding fathers had in mind when they placed their signatures on the US Constitution and verified it’s backbone of representation by elected fellow citizens..
