Thought experiment: what does this claim of racism and xenophobia have in common with, for instance, the UVA “rape” case alleged by Rolling Stone, and other false accusations involving racism/sexism/nativism, etc.? The answer reveals a counter-cultural, almost suicidal ANTI-cultural bias held by the left (Democrats and some Republicans alike). They *want* to believe the worst about American traditional culture…it’s what feeds their sneering, preening sense of self-worth.
