The GOP’s emerging Carly Fiorina Problem: CNN’s rules, which give weight to 18 polls taken before Carly Fiorina’s stunning performance at the first debate, and so far only 3 polls after that point, look like they will end up excluding Fiorina.  Which is a real shame.  Not only is Fiorina the field’s best debater (and, BTW, the only woman, in case you hadn’t noticed), but in state level polling she’s killing it.  She’s in 3rd place in New Hampshire.

CNN’s methodology seems to be deliberate, keep the field stagnate and out of date thereby not really representative of who is currently up in the polls. I’d also venture that they have no interest in having a female candidate on the stage that has been continually dogging Hillary, and doing so incredibly well.
I hope she can get on too. But there’s no grand conspiracy to keep her off; they all knew the rules going in. She IS asking for special treatment.
She’s also not the best debater. Cruz, and maybe Rubio and Huckabee on a good day, are better.
You don’t need a grand conspiracy to keep her off, standard GOP Elite procedure is sufficient. Trump sucks the air out of any viable conservative effort, Jeb buys the nomination — everything going according to plan. Move along, nothing to see.
Agreed. Carly could wipe the floor with the whole bunch. It’s a shame we don’t let her on.
This is just wrong, wrong, wrong. I hope they will revise their silly rules and allow a great candidate like Carly into the debate.
