On Sean Hannity’s show Friday night, the President said his close aid, Hope Hicks, had tested positive for COVID. Since the President and First Lady have spent a good deal of time with Hicks this week they had been tested for the virus.
Just before 1:00 am the President announced on Twitter,
>>>Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER.<<<
At the same time, First Lady Melania Trump posted on her Twitter account:
>>>As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.<<<
President Trump and his wife are now quarantined in the White House. They will remain under quarantine for 14 days or until they have two negative COVID tests within a day or 2. At this time, Trump and his wife have no symptoms of the virus. Hope Hicks has mild symptoms.
Mark Meadows, Trump’s Chief of Staff, has tested negative for the virus.
