First, a good article on what is happening in Virginia as of today. We now have 77 cases of Coronavirus, up 10 since yesterday, and 2 deaths.
Some good news today, the President wants to give Americans $2000 in the form of two checks, each for $1,000. In addition, he wants to give $300 billion to small businesses and those affected by layoffs. Of course, all of this will have to be negotiated with Congress which is likely to slow things down considerably. More on the story here.
Forbes has published a list of coronavirus layoffs, updated daily.
There are several websites about Covid-19, the coronavirus, that I check every day. My favorite is probably the New York Times website which updates the numbers for the states on a daily basis, with a map and an easy to read list of the state numbers. Although for the first time, their numbers are not accurate for today in Virginia. The number has not been updated since yesterday. I realize too that not everyone has a subscription to the Times so you may not be able to check the site on a daily basis.
The Johns Hopkins site is one that everyone can see and has lots of information. You can see coronavirus numbers for the world but you can also zoom in on the map for the state numbers of those affected by the virus and the number deaths.
Another site that is open, with an easy to read graph for cases around the world, is here. This site has some interesting charts and data numbers. More maps and other information here.
