President-elect Trump has done what he said he would do and kept 1,000 jobs in Indiana that were slated to move to Mexico. Carrier has agreed to keep their furnace company in Indiana. More here.

Trump is a lying phony. Here’s the reality of his “victory”: 800 Carrier jobs staying, 1300 jobs leaving for Mexico. And $700,000 a year in taxpayer dollars to Carrier (nearly $1,000 a job each year for ten years) + who knows what other concessions made to United Technologies for their defense business. #fartofthedeal
“When
government uses taxpayer funding and resources to give special
advantages to private companies, it distorts the free market and erodes
public trust in our political system.”
From the 2016 GOP Platform
We are now down to 800 Carrier jobs staying, 1300 Carrier jobs leaving for Mexico, this is according to Fox News. 1 Carrier factory staying, 1 Carrier factory closing in Indiana.
Tell the 1300 who are losing their jobs that Trump kept his promise. This is BS, complete BS.
Out of about 1 million new so called “created” jobs in the US this year, the USA has a net loss of -62,000 manufacturing jobs.
I call BS on this Jeanine. Trump said he would impose a 35% tariff. That was the promise. Here is reality, from Fox News;
“Whatever deal Trump struck with Carrier does not appear to have salvaged jobs at a separate branch of United Technologies in Huntington, Ind., that makes microprocessor-based controls for the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries. That branch will move manufacturing operations to a new plant in Mexico, costing the city 700 jobs by 2018.”
Where is the promised tariff?
Congratulations . . . you have seen through the Trump charade, unlike the other denizens of the Bullshitting Elephant.
Yea, and I saw through the Clinton charade, unlike you.

Why don’t you tell the whole story? Here are a few inconvenient facts you have not reported.
1. Carrier’s plans included approximately 2,100 jobs . . . 1000 – 1400 at one plant and 700 at another. While details of the “deal” will be announced later this week, it looks now as though around 1,000 jobs still will go to Mexico.
2. Carrier will receive some level of state and federal tax breaks.
3. Carrier is a subsidiary of United Technologies . . . which owns Pratt & Whitney . . . which makes the engines for the F-35 fighter . . . which is under threat for continued failures. What do you bet a Trump Dept of Defense will award P&W continued production of over-priced F-35 engines in exchange for the favor done for Trump?
Why didn’t The Democrats do the same if it is so easy?
And, why believe anything Trump says? Both Trump and Hillary are professional liars. Keeping half the jobs is keeping half the promise.
Not to mention the fact that Trump and Pence now have told every CEO in the USofA that the new President and VP can be held hostage.
“Mr. Trump, I’m the CEO of Almagated Widgets. I’m planning to move 5,000 jobs to Costa Rica unless you excuse my company from paying any taxes of any kind for ten years and excuse me and all my executives from paying federal income taxes for ten years. And award my company a really, really big federal contract. Deal?”
How can he refuse?
