In the latest Morning Consult poll Trump has moved to within striking distance of Hillary. In a race between the two of them Hillary leads by only 3%, 43% to 40%, with 17% undecided. With Gary Johnson and Jill Stein in the race, the results are even closer, Hillary 39%, Trump 37%, Johnson 8%, Stein 3% with 12% undecided.
Over the last three weeks Hillary has dropped two points and Trump has gained four. The trends are good for Trump.
Both candidates remain very unpopular, 58% of voters view Trump unfavorably and 57% view Hillary unfavorably. Astonishing!
Independents remain evenly divided with 35% for Clinton, 34% supporting Trump, 31% undecided.
