I spent the better part of four hours on my syndicated radio show this morning taking calls and outlining to my listeners why Trump won last night’s debate. This was in the face of the entire dopey political punditry talking head class who told their viewers on every cable network that Clinton won hands down.
How are they always so wrong about Trump?
They don’t get it. The movement is still passing them by. Their time has long ago expired. This discredited cabal of tired echo-chamber cable talk grifters — who rarely converse to anyone but themselves, least of all us common folk — is frighteningly out of touch with real America. And tone deaf.
Apparently those calling Clinton the night’s victor were watching a different debate than the American people were.
While Secretary Clinton did her best Hillarybot impression with 25 canned, scripted and dispassionate answers to rigged and ridiculous questions about Miss Piggy, tax returns, birth certificates and Howard Stern, Mr. Trump laid out a clear economic vision for America in the first half of the debate.
Clinton epitomized the physical embodiment of the ultimate political D.C. insider: the Tarpist, gangster-bankster establishment status quo candidate. Trump talked about jobs.
Clinton spoke directly to her cheap labor, donor pay to play, and Wall Street boardroom base. Trump was the outsider, the glass breaker, the change agent, the disruptor.
The pundits salivated.
Clinton pandered with perfect pitch and practiced poise. Trump straight-talked to 89 million regular Americans as if he were sitting around their kitchen table. And he did it in his typical gruffy and choppy Trump prose. It’s the connection, stupid.
I was right again. That’s why you opened this column. Thank you.
Here are all the polls that were released today validating my call on Trump winning the debate this morning.

So much for your “Trump won the polls” nonsense.
Fox has now told it’s on-air people to stop citing the phony online polls.
Do you have the integrity to tell your listeners that you were hoodwinked by phony polls?
— quote
In a memo Tuesday, Fox News vice president of public-opinion research
Dana Blanton reminded the network’s talent that online post-debates
polls were unscientific and should not be cited in their reporting.
“As most of the publications themselves clearly state, the sample
obviously can’t be representative of the electorate because they only
reflect the views of those Internet users who have chosen to
participate,” said the memo, obtained by Business Insider. Blanton noted that campaigns and supporters often directed people towards such polls in order to skew the results.
“News networks and other organizations go to great effort and rigor
to conduct scientific polls — for good reason,” Blanton continued. “They
know quick vote items posted on the web are nonsense, not true measures
of public opinion.”
The memo comes amid a PR blitz by the Donald Trump campaign to
reframe his Monday debate performance as a win. Online post-debate polls
from websites like the Drudge Report showed Trump winning by wide
margins, while scientific polls showed that voters thought Hillary
Clinton trounced Trump.

Zzzzzz dude I don’t watch FOX I watch CNN
That’s not the point.
I don’t trust any online poll that doesn’t include Harambe as an option.
lol Chris wins this online debate. Hands down.
Trump did not prepare for the debate, instead relying on his deep understanding of complex political and social issues, and his soaring eloquence. Oh wait, that didn’t work out at all.
Trump achieved his victory conditions and Hillary achieved his victory conditions.
The war marches on.

Hey John, why are Republicans sticking it to the middle-class just before an election? See link below. Is this an example of the party trying to help Trump win an election? Why are BE and BD not writing threads on how good this is for us? Yum, yum. Screw The Republican Party.

Elites are bi-partisan
They reach across the aisle to get to your wallet.
The whole system is rigged against working people.
That’s one thing I think “conservatives” of every stripe can agree on.
Your poll results are false . . . phony . . . . made up . . . pulled out of your ass.

That’s a lot of clicks! The pundits talk to elites. I talk to real people 4 hours a day on their commute to work. Trump will win. And this is my day job! LOL! John
Too bad you only talk to the and not with them. You might hear alternative ideas and not just your own voice
Really? I take100 phone calls a week from listeners. Thanks!
Who listens to you? I’ve never heard of you or your program. It’s known as “preaching to the choir.”
And I’m certain your listeners are unbiased, clear-thinking, logical people.
No one! I have zero listeners! Wow! You outed me!
not the same as asking who listens to you, is it? Are your listener all like you or do you attract a wide range of opinions? You sure get testy when challenged. Why is that?
The gamut
John has lots of listeners SD. But like any product or service, the people who listen to John tend to agree with his dispositions and opinions. That’s not to take anything away from John, he’ll listen to folks with dissenting opinions as well, but you can’t blame him for having a sympathetic audience. That’s the inevitable result of a free market.
I guess the debate ‘afterglow’ project didn’t go so well for you guys.
Anybody see Hillary talking to the reporters immediately after the debate?
This type of deceipt and mainpulation is exactly what Bannon from Breitbart brings to the table. He’s an invisible powerhouse pulling levers.
You are supporting a candidate who along with her husband has enriched herself incredibly via their political machine. 153 million dollars given for the quid pro quos as they governed. Pay for play. That filthy family perfected that. Their first big gift to Wall St was the trade agreements which has denuded manufacturing jobs in the US. Yes… the Republican elite joined them to ratify all those “free” trade agreements. Trump is the first real voice to offer an end to those POS things that have enriched Hillary’s donors.
And Obama just pushed another one, TPP so he can collect hundreds of millions of dollars in “speaking fees” when he leaves office.
Trump may be an ass, but he is speaking to an issue that is fundamental to the future of the country. One in which the Clintons have screwed the US one for twenty years now.
Are you getting paid by the Trump campaign?
Bruce, who is going to get a job with the a Trump network after this is all over?
it’s a labor of love!
I think most people tuned in to see if the Beast could make it through the debate w/out coughing or falling down.
“Clinton pandered with perfect pitch” hardly. She made my ears hurt. The normal volume that I watch TV is around 35, I had to listen to the debate at 10.
Anybody decode her blinks? I was watching her eyes, and didn’t think she knew Morse — it might have been a call for help.
Someone decoded her touching her nose. Reminds of the movie The Sting. Check out when Lester misses the cue and she sends him daggers w/her eyes. Yeah, they practiced for the debate all right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XSuG5aCFGs
Do you check under your bed every night for monsters?
My cat Sammy sleeps there after my wife throws him out of the bed.
No, only rednecks.

Ha. Needs all Bill’s victims lining the curtain rod.
Video yanked.

Too bad your poll results are false. http://www.dailydot.com/layer8/trump-clinton-debate-online-polls-4chan-the-donald/
Yes false, the people have jumped past that bump in the road and it is no longer a dead heat. Soon Hillary will be 50 points ahead AND the trains will run on time.
LMAO!
Oh for heavens sake, Trump raised $18 million the next day and extended his lead in the LA Times poll. He’s going to win.
perhaps, but you posted about these particular, unscientifc polls, I am not sure why you are trying to change the subject away from honest cristism of your post.
Why not acknowledge that your writing on this topic is a poorly done and accept that you can do better?
We can all do better
My home girls sum it up..
but you get paid to broadcast your opinion – professionals like you must be even better! You get paid for your words, why not value them as well?
He won on substance. She won on style. Which do you want for the country?
My point exactly. Thank you!
You do know the polls you cite were online polls that allow multiple votes with the result that the polls were manipulated by bots.
Unlike the polls that are manipulated by the 5th column/4th estate.
Good one!
yes, absolutely unlike those. But facts and TBE Trump supporters rarely work well together
We’ll see in November, I’m thinking 60% Trump/Pence.
,.,. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/7ea5c4f42b773590273e7a6e0f3fda04548e1e174d7afa52ae70b9009de3af6e.jpg
I gave it to him on style as well — he did not do the typical Republican wilted flower.
Very important to have a masculine presence for a change. Since Reagan, Republicans have nominated people who are afraid of their shadow. Don’t insult and accept insults seems to be the losing approach. PC shutdown Republican candidates – not Trump.
By the way, read conservative treehouse on the woman Machado who caused a stir when he said she gained 50 lbs as a miss universe winner. She has a very checkered past to say the least – crime, porn and drug lord baby.
I gained 50 lbs too!
Easy to do but, as a tennis player, a few extra pounds mean an increased in missed opportunities. Since my marriage about 50 years ago, I have kept the gain to 30 lbs and I could stand to lose about 10 (Tough to do).
I did like that he came off like a Rottweiler.
That is pretty much the only issue of the first debate.
Trump delivered no substance. Clinton delivered no style. What in the world are you guys talking about? Of course Clinton didn’t win the debate. She was awful. She handed Trump victory after victory, to which Trump responded by squandering opportunity after opportunity. How is anyone talking about this debate as anything other than a disaster. Half way through I was certain that the this one event would instigate the rapture and the return of Christ Jesus.
