Trump was in Richmond last night where he said several times how important Virginia is to his campaign. He said he plans to be here many times between now and November. It will be difficult for Trump to carry Virginia with McAuliffe working so hard to defeat him. Those 206,000 felons could make the difference for Trump in Virginia.
However, if Trump wins Pennsylvania and North Carolina, he doesn’t need to win Virginia (although we all hope that he does, it would terrible if Virginia turns Blue permanently. No one wants to see Virginia turn into Maryland south.) Pennsylvania has long been a Blue state but Trump has a real chance to win there. In some polls he is tied with Hillary. Real Clear Politics electoral map has Pennsylvania, and their 20 electoral college votes, as a tossup.
Their electoral map also shows North Carolina as a tossup with their 15 electoral votes. Currently Trump has a slight lead in the North Carolina polls.
Trump is visiting both of these important states in the next few days. At 3:00 today Trump was in Pittsburgh to rally the troops. On Tuesday he will be in North Carolina.
