With all precincts reporting in Virginia’s 6th State Senate district, Democrat Lynwood Lewis is leading Republican Wayne Coleman by 22 votes Lynwood Lewis has 10,197 votes to Wayne Coleman’s 10, 175 votes, triggering an automatic recount. Details here.
With 26 of the 28 precincts reporting in the race to replace delegate Onzlee Ware in the 11th House district in Roanoke, Democrat Sam Rasoul is winning by a large margin against Republican Octavia Johnson. Rasoul currently has 4, 789 votes and Johnson 2,013 votes. Details here.
Another special election will take place in 2 weeks on January 21 in Virginia’s 33rd senate district between Republican John Whitbeck, Democrat Jennifer Wexton, and independent Joe May.
