I was going to try and stay out of this, but I’ve seen enough garbage. Some of this goes back to personal animosities which far predate my time here, or my previous blog home, for that matter.
But, largely, that’s just a pretext. It’s all about the desire of the old boys’ network to reclaim and maintain control of the Republican Party of Virginia, and they’re not afraid to use the language and tactics of the left to do so. They’re after our current chairman, the conservatives on RPV’s State Central Committee, and not least, the Congressman who currently represents Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. The rest is just window dressing. They want the power back.
They even called in air support in the form of First Vice Chairman (and one of the orchestrators of the 2014 slating) Mike Thomas, who I’m sure was only too happy to lend a hand to try and bring the rebels down. I, and most other conservatives, see right through this.
It’s not going to work, and we will be ready for next year, when the district conventions and struggle for control of State Central comes. And while we’re on the subject of immigration, I concur with a guest contributor’s take here this morning on the issue, and reject appeals to emotion on the issue by the opposition.
When the rubber meets the road, that’s all they have. Emotion and demagoguery. It won’t work… and we’re ready for you. Bring it. Moreover, this smacks of the ridiculous, failed ‘compassionate conservatism’ of the Bush clan, which I am beyond done with. Small wonder that certain folks among them are trying to pump up Jeb.
On a separate note, I’d also like to remind Virginia Republican activists of all stripes, and all across the state, that we have elections this year, right here in the Old Dominion. Great Republican candidates for local offices, county boards, countywide offices, House of Delegates, and the Senate of Virginia are fighting as hard as they’re able to get elected. How about we help them before we worry about the Presidential race, okay? Get involved however you can. We need all hands on deck.

Journalistic ethics demand that private citizens be treated with kid gloves when writing about them. Contributors to a well known Virginia blog have in many cases been candidates for office and even elected officials, which means they made the choice on their own to become public figures with all that entails. They should, however, keep in mind that not everyone has made that choice, and they should be more responsible when they choose to make a private citizen blogger a subject of their writing.
One person’s opinion.
Poor Jeanine is under attack. Hopefully she can use this constructively and think about the folks she tries to disparage with her one-sided blog postings. BTW, Jeanine when will you be posting mug shots of Kesari? I haven’t seen any of your reporting on this development. Let me guess, it’s not relevant, right??
of course not. They are on the same side of many issues out in the rural policy area, so silence may be the best policy on that for many, and in more important positions than Jeanine.
Obsessed much? You are a one trick pony. I have never discussed with Kesari any ‘rural policy” since I don’t even know what that means, nor do I have any idea what the rest of that sentence might mean.
You may get more responses to your comments if you weren’t quite so cryptic.
Jeanine, not looking for responses, just commenting. BTW, you LIVE in the rural policy AREA, which is what I referenced.
It isn’t cryptic at all, to people who follow Loudoun, and watched the miasma of the primary process here. I can certainly understand if it suits your purpose to distance yourself now that’s that’s over.
Yes, I live in a beautiful rural area. Other than that, I have no idea what you’re talking about. None.
That’s so odd, because as the voice of Loudoun, and indeed of all red meat real conservatives in VA, I find it distinctly humorous that you have not made a peep on the issue with DK. He has lived here for years, has served on county commissions, and serves on the TC of one of the rural towns.
Some very high profile people here including DK were part of the recent failed primary campaign for Sheriff, as were you, and some of the good old fashioned rough-and-tumble dirty tricks of that campaign (false mailers pretending to be from committee with fake convention dates, requiring formal response from the chair of the LCRC, etc), which LONG predate your residence here, are straight out of a familiar playbook to anyone who has lived here more than a few years.
You were at the event at the head of the electoral board’s home kicking off that campaign, along with DK and select others. You defended the antics as vigorously as you attack any and everything, as was all over fb and other blogs during that campaign.
Of course you have no idea what I’m talking about–lol. That campaign is over, your team lost, one of the principals is under indictment for other issues, so yes, “you know nothing”, Sgt. Schultz. As usual, the only one making any public acknowledgement that they even know DK is Eugene, who has contributed to his defense fund–they go back a long way, and Eugene never shies from controversy, that’s for sure.
Here, refresh your memory on the primary:
http://thebullelephant.com/commonwealth-attorney-jim-plowman-endorses-eric-noble-for-sheriff-in-loudoun-county/
http://firewallnova.com/2015/04/nobles-supporters-show-desperation-in-closing-days/
http://thebullelephant.com/sheriff-mike-chapman-endorses-himself-with-fake-tea-party-page/
It’s over, I know, and Noble showed more class than some of his supporters when he lost. He honored his pledge.
And DK was in it, as were you. Not saying you did anything illegal, but you defended and deflected on the dirty tricks, because the desired end justifies any means in a war, right?
Too bad it’s always a war against fellow Rs.
Go ahead and delete this, with a pearl-clutch about my mental state etc. I saved a copy–lol
Is there anything new on that? Kesari has been indicted. Is there anything else to report? Does anyone care?
What’s new??? Your favorite bigot and shady politician Eugene Delgaudio is putting up money for Kesari’s defense. I wonder why? Did Kesari engage in any campaign shenangians for Eugene? How does this all affect Charlie? Is King in with Kesari as well? Jeanine…go on one your one sided fact finding missions on this case and report back. Doubt we’ll ever see that. Jeanine, you and the King camp are losing traction fast.
What this really is about is the unacceptable words written by Jeanine. Certainly, opportunism and those with an agenda to purge us and reestablish the establishment in the chair and SCC are taking advantage of what YOU Jeanine, did. You gave them ammunition. You gave them a legitimate boogeyman to point to when we argue for LEGAL immigration, the return of the rule of law, a secure border, and sane policy. You gave them a gift and made things harder for all of us. They will take your words and paint us with the same broad brush of “nativist” which is race baiting code for racist! Then before we get to even argue we have to prove we are not like you.
What this is “Really about” is you wrote something worthy of strong condemnation and you damaged all of us by giving them the gift of what you did wrongly. I appreciate that you apologized, but you made us all look terrible. It also unfortunately, stains TBE.
I caution TBE not to continue the current line of defense. It makes it look like you are trying to excuse it and sweep it under the rug. I as an individual have to face the reality that they were handed a gift of opportunism and that they are actually right for once. I suggest that you face it, too. Their agenda is always to prop up the establishment at our expense. That hasn’t changed. What was written by Jeanine is what changed. Pointing at BD and the establishment doesn’t change that. It makes you look like apologists.
Yes Britt, Mea Culpa. It’s all my fault.
Is there anything else you’d like to add to the discussion?
I do….. http://www.vademocrats.org/news/press/virginia-democrats-call-john-whitbeck-denounce-party-insiders-racial-slurs
Old news, but thanks anyway.
How thoughtful of you to help advance the Democrats’ agenda here.
Nope, you handled that, I am informing everyone the shit storm you created
No, that would be Bearing Drift who is responsible for any storm created. My comment could have been commented on and then ignored but your little friends at BD had to make it into far more than it was, they had to turn it into an unnecessary storm for their own sick motives and desire for revenge against John Whitbeck. Please don’t try to pretend it something other than that. It wasn’t.
Please avoid profanity, we don’t allow that here. Thank you.
Don’t worry Jeanine….no one is coming here to gather information or form an opinion based on your hack reporting. They are here because they are just as radical as you or they despise you. I suspect more of the later. David is correct in pointing out that you just gave the Dems. a silver platter. Great work!!
Climb down off your high horse. What Jeanine wrote may not have been the best thing to say, but it was not racist. Continuing to harp on it just makes you look petty, and makes YOU an apologist for the people trying to waive it like a bloody shirt.
They really just want to turn back the clock to the 1990’s when nobody was paying any attention to what was going on and they could do whatever they wanted. Times have changed, and they aren’t likely to change back anytime soon.
still waiting for a certain blogger to endorse the Hispanic candidate in his district
You will entombed before Brian endorses Guevara. Besides, his endorsement is meaningless, remember?
Doesn’t seem like what someone who is interested in reaching out to minorities and growing the party would do. Then again, that’s not what this is *really* about anyways
Some of our commenters seems to have forgotten that constant ad hominem attacks are no longer tolerated here and will be deleted.
Word to the wise. Stop wasting your time and our’s. Peddle you ancient grudges and grievances elsewhere.
Not being able to take ad hominem attacks in stride is a sign of weakness. There is no crying in politics.
Ad Hominem is a sign that you have no real argument. That doesn’t mean you can’t rightly attack their argument, what they did, or openly condemn what they wrote. Blanket ad hominem is basic name calling. Pretty empty and often childish.
I can appreciate that you might want to call Jeanine names. It might be deserved, but in general there is nothing positive or grown up about the use of ad hominem.
Jeanine is unfortunately confused about the difference between ad hominem attack and calling out her behavior (which often consists of ad hominem attack, and worse). The fact that she deletes anyone who disagrees with her (in order to reimage the disappeared content in a way that is not only acceptable to her, but deceptive to others) is just another aspect of the questionable behavior. And for Jeanine to chide anyone for bullying? Projection gone wild–lolol
It’s a rule. If you don’t like it, you are free to read and comment elsewhere. I don’t invite bullies into my house nor are they welcome here.
Jeanine, I am well aware that disagreeing with you is not tolerated–lol.
Ad hoiminem would mean I had criticized your looks, or something intrinsically a part of YOU. Your behavior, however, is another story.
But, can’t have anyone pointing that out. Understood. rotflmao
yes, we have elections EVERY year. which makes the continued bad manners and acting out of the poor beleagered blogger even more wearing, year in and year out.
if you all need to believe it is some power play to harm the REAL conservatives (TM) WITHIN the POWER STRUCTURE of the party, have at it. I’m on board with being done with her for the simple fact that this is not new behavior, her apologies are about as sincere as any teen queen caught bullying a nerd, and the act got old a long time ago.
If she were actually right more often, there might be a point, but quite frankly she may do far more damage to those candidates she claims to support than actually help them. (but it’s everybody else’s fault–RINOs!–when her chosen ones lose, in spite of how ugly she was attacking their opponents. every. single. time.)
