Governor Bob McDonnell is facing sentencing in January that could send him to jail for a decade or more. [read_more]On Thursday, at 3:25 AM his son Robert, age 23, was charged with a DWI and refusal to take a blood test. He was arrested in Virginia Beach near the family’s vacation home. Well, have the other kiss-up politicians that drooled at McDonnell’s feet need tissues to wipe the egg off their own faces? There is something to be said about the company you keep.
Here is the $64,000 question – can the current governor commute the sentence, or execute a pardon?
Bob McDonnell was convicted of federal crimes. The state judicial and pardon system has no say-so in that matter.
