Will Republicans help pass Northam’s Gun Ban?

written by Guest Contributor S. Chris Anders July 27, 2020

For far too long so called ‘conservatives’ have been putting lipstick on pigs. But no matter how much lipstick you smear on it, a pig is still a pig.

Like when the ‘Republicans’ in Congress made Obamacare ‘better’ by inserting toothless ‘pro-life’ language into that boondoggle making it easier for moderate Democrats to vote for it.

And now I am starting to hear the same coming out of Richmond, namely that some so-called conservatives are lining up to help pass Northam’s Gun Ban.

No, not by directly voting for it like Senators Hanger (R-24) and Dunnavant (R-12) did when they voted for Universal Federal Gun Registration, but rather, by trying to put lipstick on a pig, state senators like Minority Leader Tommy Norment (R-3) are working to make the gun ban ‘better’ thus increasing the likelihood it will pass!

And any effort to make the Gun Ban less ‘bad’ will be nothing short of greasing the skids for it to pass.

You see, there are several Democrat Senators that may NOT vote for the Gun Ban in its current form.

But if Norment and his ilk get their way, they will make a horrible bill less horrible, freeing up these so-called  ‘moderate’ Democrats to vote for it!

Decades of compromising away our liberty has paved this path.  For far too long the ‘conservatives’ have surrendered on nearly every fight, after getting a few concessions from the gun grabbers.

And not only that, once passed, less ‘bad’ laws are far harder to repeal.  Again, see Obamacare.

This is where you come in.

You need to call the following State Senators and tell them NO DEALS on Northam’s Gun Ban, and that a vote to make the bill better is a vote to help it pass.

– Senator Emmett Hanger (R-24)- 804-698-7524
– Senator Siobhan Dunnavant (R-12)- 804-698-7512

And especially Senator Tommy Norment (R-3)- 804-698-7503

I cannot tell you how vital it is that you call the State Senators listed above, but also that you call these State Delegates and tell them that a vote to make the Gun Ban ‘better’ is helping it pass-

-Delegate Glenn Davis- (R-84)-804-698-1084
-Delegate Jason Miyares- (R-82)- 804-698-1082
-Delegate Bobby Orrock- (R-54)- 804-698-1054

All of these Delegates have either voted for anti-gun legislation, or sponsored legislation to restrict your right to keep and bear arms.

This fight will be a marathon, those who fight the hardest for the longest will win.

We must never back down, we must never compromise and we most mobilize and confront the politicians and their gun grabbing schemes.

Gun grabbing politicians have told us there are no plans for a special session to pass any gun ban, but do you trust them?

I know I don’t.

And once passed, like Obamacare, many establishment politicians will NOT vote to repeal it, as they were able to get the tweaks they asked for.

And these back stabbers will then campaign in their next election, claiming how, by working with the gun grabbers, they saved a little of the 2nd Amendment by letting the rest of it burn.

For unless these ‘republicans’ hear from you, they will be whipping out the lipstick and smearing it on the pig that is the Gun Ban.

In Liberty,

Chris Anders
