America deserves real leadership, but instead, Kamala Harris is offering us nothing but hypocrisy. At a time when our country is facing unprecedented crises—from the chaos at the southern border to the disasters hitting our communities—Harris seems more concerned with checking off a box on her political agenda than doing the real work that American citizens desperately need.

Kamala Harris just made her first border visit in three years—and her conversation with Border Patrol leaders lasted less than a half hour. That’s right, the person tasked by the Biden administration with managing the border crisis—the same one she’s ignored for years—flew in for a quick photo op, then left as quickly as she arrived. Is that what we call leadership?

This brief visit was nothing but political theater. She didn’t even spend time with the Border Patrol agents who have been overwhelmed by the migrant surge. Instead, she toured a carefully managed site in Douglas, Arizona, far from the chaos, before heading off to another staged appearance.

The same pattern repeated itself when Harris swooped in to give a speech at FEMA in the middle of one of our nation’s most critical disaster response periods. Once again, she spent less than seven minutes reciting scripted talking points, taking no meaningful action to address the problems our communities face.

While Kamala Harris dodges accountability, Donald Trump has been meeting directly with Americans who have been most affected by these crises. Trump’s commitment to the people is undeniable. He stands up for those suffering the consequences of weak leadership, as he has always done. From supporting law enforcement on the frontlines at the border to visiting disaster-stricken communities and offering real solutions, Trump shows up. He listens. He leads.

Contrast in Leadership: Trump vs. Harris

Kamala Harris and the Biden administration have done everything they can to avoid owning up to the crises they’ve created. Their border policies have been a disaster, leaving our southern border wide open, overwhelming Border Patrol, and allowing crime to surge in communities across the country.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has been sounding the alarm for years. He warned of the consequences of weak borders, reckless policies, and ineffective leadership. Trump’s border policies worked—illegal crossings plummeted during his presidency, and our communities were safer for it.

But Harris has spent her time deflecting blame, doing everything but confronting the truth. A “check the box” border visit is not enough to fix the damage they’ve done. A speech with FEMA employees as political props won’t help families struggling to recover from disasters. This is a pattern of neglect and hypocrisy.
