Amanda Chase has announced she will run for the state senate seat district 10 which will be vacated by Congressman-elect John McGuire.
Chase announcement:
“A Special Election will be called to fill John McGuire’s state senate seat, once the results of yesterday’s results are certified.
Republican Party of Virginia attorney Chris Marston advised that a Republican Mass Meeting would most likely take place mid-December 2024, which is next month.
Last night, Senator John McGuire won against his Democrat opponent and is now Congressman-elect John McGuire.
While I’m thankful that the seat remains securely under Republican control, I am thankful for Congressman Bob Good’s service as the most conservative Congressman in Virginia. It was under his leadership that we secured regular order in Congress and ousted Kevin McCarthy as speaker, which took courage and old fashioned guts.
Virginia Senate Seat in State Senate District 10, which encompasses Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, part of Prince Edward, Goochland, Hanover, Louisa, Powhatan and Fluvanna. I live in and own a home in historic Appomattox.
Once John McGuire’s election is certified, a Special Election will be called and Republicans have 5 days to choose a Republican nominee.
December 2 is the day the State Board of Elections meets to certify the November 5th general election results.
Once the general election is certified, a Special Election will be called. So please stay tuned.
